These sisal, woven baskets are handmade by a weaving cooperative in southeastern Kenya. The women hand-dye the sisal fibers and weave them into these beautiful works of art. This basket is great for wall storage in your bathroom, pantry, bedroom, or playroom! You can also display dried flowers in it.

It was love at first sight when Laura first stepped on the continent of Africa in 2008. After several trips spent traipsing through Sub-Saharan Africa, a summer in South Africa working in social enterprise, and a deep sense of awe for its diverse people and cultures, she knew she could use business as a tool for social change. This sisal, woven basket is approximately 8" in diameter and woven by our artisans in Gitarama, Rwanda. The sisal is woven around sweetgrass, a fragrant grass with a subtle sweetness.
